I’d Scream in Frustration if I thought it would help.

I’m well aware that many Americans thought badly of Obamacare. I’m also aware that many more Americans found it a lifeline. It would have been a whole lot better had the GOP not blocked so much all the way through. As it ended up it still helped a lot of people in dire straits until Trump decided it had to be dismantled along with anything else that bore the signature of President Obama. In fact they couldn’t find anything better to replace Obamacare but it seems not to have mattered as their latest moves have created a crisis anyway. According to the Congressional Budget Office, health insurance premiums will go up by double digit percentages from 2019. Insurers are expected to raise the premiums on benchmark plans by some 15 % over this years.

I’m gritting my teeth and saying this very slowly. Millions of people will be adversely affected and some millions will be out altogether. The projections say 3 million will not be able to be insured in 2019 with another 3 million added over the next two years. That”s on top of those that can’t afford to pay already, The (ACA Affordable Care) Act is now the UCA (Un-affordable Care Act) or who gives a monkey’s for the poor act. It’s certain the politicians don’t.

The GOP have maintained that anyone needing treatment can go straight to the Emergency Room, in that case why not make it the same for everyone and turn it into a National Health Service as I think Obama’s dream went. The vision of all Americans being looked after equally no matter income, from a service paid through taxation.

I’m raging that the GOP went after providing a tax rebate for the rich and placed a huge debt on the country as a whole and now slam the poorest yet again while the Insurance Companies can rub their hands together. Healthcare should not be in the hands of Insurance Companies but in the hands of professionals who know the cost of curing patients even when their illnesses don’t show. Cancer patients don’t have to plead for lifesaving drugs when their insurance money is running out.

The GOP must shoulder a lot of this blame alone but Trump is due his fair share, especially being the one who gets upset when he sees Obama’s name on anything. He is making the world more unstable with his decisions made after ignoring his professional help and asking the tea lady’s opinion instead.

I’m raging that the evangelicals who follow Trump are not devout enough to steer clear of a much married misogynist who touches women without their permission and who tells lies all the time, but are prepared to turn their biblical heads the other way because he’s a Republican and speaks their language. BS. If you’re going to say you believe in God and Jesus then at least try and follow the teachings of the bible and not conveniently ignore things when it suits you.

Make those votes count in November Democrats and all you new voters out there. Move these bottom crawlers away from Congress for as long as you can and hope Trump resigns because you can be sure a Democratic Government won’t listen to him.

Hugs to all, please spread them around.

I silently scream at least once a day. It helps quite a lot. Then i move on to good things in order to keep my sanity intact.

There a lot of people screaming in frustration here. So far, it doesn’t seem to be helping, but hopefully people will vote the horrors outs. And hopefully, some of the enablers will suddenly awaken.

I do hope so Merril. A few years ago over here one party lost the election badly and left a not in one of the offices to say ‘Sorry, no money left in the kitty’, there wasn’t either. I’m beginning to get the same feeling here, they’re taking everything they can and leaving the country in ruin, knowing they’ll be losing the majority soon enough and possible also that Trump will be kicked out or into prison for Treason. The economy is already shot with debts, the poor are about to lose ACA with rises in premiums. The Environment is doomed and all the allies have been kicked into touch. What’s left.

You are right … Obama’s hope was that ACA was merely the first step toward a system of universal health care for all. And if any had followed in his footsteps, I believe that dream, that hope, would have become reality. But instead we elected a megalomaniac who believes his legacy hinges on reversing all actions of his predecessor, Obama, whether beneficial or not to the people. In this case, recent estimates are that 1 in 5 cannot afford adequate healthcare.

As for the evangelicals, they are such hypocrites as to not even deserve mention.

Thanks for adding your voice of outrage to ours, my dear friend. Let us hope for peace, someday, and for a brighter outlook for the world than we have today.

The world deserves a brighter outlook and peace after all the misery there’s been over the years. Trump is not the man who will be lauded for starting the ball rolling. He’s all about himself and has no time for anything menial like the people and their needs, except perhaps 1% of them. Whoever follows him will have a great chance to make the world a better place just by reversing Trump’s actions but could go further and help install Universal Healthcare, and make sure all the conflicts in the world inspired by Trump come to an end.
For now I shan’t mention the evangelicals.

  5. It’s all been said here, David, and I have little to add – except to say that a lot of the financial issues here trace back to the power and the greed of the drug companies. We have that exact problem in UK too. Hugs

I’m just very grateful we haven’t been forced to rely on Insurance Companies in order to get out healthcare and have to suffer their decision of whether they think the treatment fits withing our financial plan. Who wants to be refused a course of a cancer drug because your money would run out before the treatment did.

I really appreciate this rant, David, as it mirrors my own infuriated sensibilities. A public option was in the original ACA, but Obama had to remove it in order for the legislation to pass Congress. Trump is a sociopathic narcissist dragging the short-sighted and greedy on his coattails. I take comfort in knowing that karma is waiting in the wings ❤️

I hope Karma is wearing very heavy boots when she arrives, and it can’t be soon enough. I’d suggest Karma could be waiting in the wings for me for sitting here wishing he did us all a favour and had a massive and fatal heart attack until I realise you first need a heart.

Hi David, so glad I found this other blog of yours thanks to my good friend Tina. I agree with every single word you said. Glad to find your blog here for likeminded people. dump has taken the country hostage, ignorant of even reading a policy, making up shit as he goes and determined to destroy anything Obama has done out of spite and jealousy because of his small ignorant mind. Oh ya, Lady Karma is making her entrance now as journalists and people start to rise up and speak the truth, No more ‘allegedly’ they’re calling him out everywhere and on TV for the liar and thief that he is. Alienating lifelong allies – Canada, EU and Mexico to team up with the thugs of the world instead – NK, Russia and China who are a lot smarter than he is, a very dangerous game. I’m appalled at the hostage crisis of the US taken on by trumputin and his gang of thieves and as a Canadian living right next door I always fear the fallout that often comes our way,.

Now that Frump and his merry man have taken to dismantling the environment changes put in place over the years I fear the fallout may be a physical thing from now on. When you put an anti-environmentalist in charge of the environment you know the dismantling of the US is deliberate.and the contamination of his neighbours is just coincidental to him.

I suppose that clown and destroyer Pruitt would have to physically kill someone before the rethuglicans would even consider taking action. So very sad that WE are the neighbors. ❤
