Together we can banish some of the darkness…

If we can all share the light together the whole world will be brighter at the end of the day.

“For though my faith is not yours
and your faith is not mine,
if we are each free to light our own flame,
together we can banish some of the darkness of the world.”

  4. A beautiful quote. If more people could be secure in their own beliefs and realize differing beliefs can enhance, rather than detract from them. We’re a mixed bag here on earth, why not embrace the differences instead of fighting them?

I’m a big fan of Marianne Williamson and one of my favorite of her quotes is “It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.” I really do believe that is true, because so many people seem so genuinely angry and frightened by the idea of not marching off to war.

Let’s all be fools together and keep believing that peace is not only possible, it is inevitable.

That’s the kind of fool I’m happy to be. Happy, at home, safe in the knowledge that diversity is enhancing and not the scary thing some imagine it to be.
If I’m selfish to want peace for myself then forget it for me but bring it on for my children and their children. Enough innocent blood has been spilled, the next conflagration could mean the end to something precious, our world and our future..
