The 12 month dream.

Like you I see the world as grey,
filled with those who trade in death,
who riches gain as they trade in guns,
designed to take man’s last breath.

I wish for a world of peace,
of caring of tolerant thought,
while man stalks those he wants to kill,
with bombs or weapons bought.

Today I seek a pact in hope,
that Hugs may gain some ground,
and that 12 months from this day
The world in love abounds.

Nadolig Llawen a Blwyddyn Newydd DdaΒ to one and all. Cwtch mawr.

Sorry, I know I played this last year. It’s now remastered for Charity.

I didn’t see the clip last year, so thanks for the repeat. I know the story, of course, but not this song/video.

David, this is a beautiful post. It took me a few minutes to find a comment after viewing the video. Christmas wishes to you and yours. May I reblog this post on Sunday? Your words and this song sing to the heart the season. Thank you for posting. HUGS & SMILES

Thank you Laine, that’s very kind. You can certainly reblog it if you wish, I know the words are poor but poetry isn’t my forte. Of course if it’s just the song you want then fine as I’d love more people to hear it.It’s a little slower than his original song but I forgive that since he’s not getting any younger and it is for charity this time.
To you and your family I wish Nadolig Llawen a Blwyddyn Newydd Dda, to you personally I wish much joy and that your wishes are granted.

Thank you, David. Your poetry came straight from the heart and it shows. That’s what poetry used to be about. I was moved by the poem fist. The video was a perfect fit. Thanks for allowing me to share them.

This is a wonderful post to remind us of brotherly love in this holiday season. David writes straight from the heart. I always feel treated with friendship and respect in his WordPress community. In other words, he walks his talk. Please view the video. It is perfect fit with David’s words.

As long as there are short-sighted, greedy people who are concerned only for themselves, the Monsanto’s of the world will continue to lay waste to the land, take from others without remorse, and use war for their own ends. As long as recorded history, this is the nature of humans: The majority of good, kind people don’t have what it takes to be permanently rid of the predators among us–and the predators have no such limitations. And so the cycle continues.

Perhaps he day of the prey will come. After all, the predator will go on killing in order to see his product and the prey just replenishes themselves for him. But the prey only have to kill once to be free of the cycle. Even companies as big as Monsanto can be dismembered if the public just stop buying the product. If we pressure our Governments to stop allowing them within our borders to experiment. Slowly some of the world’s biggest companies are being forced to pay taxes within a host country, if the people can be educated enough to bring that kind of pressure to bear who knows what can be accomplished if the public are educated enough. We have to stop letting them rule us just because we’re too indolent to do anything about it.

People generally don’t pay attention until the monster is looming overhead. So far, places like Monsanto wage expensive propaganda wars on social media and through advertising. As long as people choose to believe the rhetoric and to pay no attention to the truth, nothing will change. It’s not a problem that can be solved once, either. History has shown that when a generation is rid of the predators (like our founding fathers did for us) the future generations allow the predators born in their time to take hold.

The study of generational cycles is quite interesting.

        But I don’t ride a bike??

Seriously, I don’t doubt you’re right.Sadly for me at least, in the past Governments may honestly have thought they were doing the right thing for the people or possibly the wrong thing for the right reasons. This time I’m inclined to believe that the Governments are doing what is right for themselves knowing it hurts the people and not caring. i.e. The invasions of Iraq and that of Syria, the non-payment of taxes by big firms abroad, the profiteering from weapons sales, the allowing of firms like Monsanto, the sending of jobs overseas and the non-punishment of the bankers who created such a world crisis .

I’d hope that any exercise in taking back control by the people, for the people would give future generations the knowledge that they can rid themselves of predators if they were given the lead by us now.

        Keep well.
