The bombing has begun

Part of this may be humorous but it really only underlines the genuine crisis. Well done Christoph, every word true.

Sadly, in the case of many supporters of the air strikes, this is done so that they can justify their heartless position not to let any more refugees in, not even temporarily until the war is over.
12295358_10153140644126035_6767368502049437137_nHowever, bombing is not going to solve the problem.(Apologies for this ‘political’ / humanitarian post. Please be assured they will remain the overwhelming minority on this book blog.)

The Kurds are good at fighting IS but supporting them goes against Turkey’s interest who deny the Kurds the freedom of self-determination. Yet Turkey is well received by the Free Syrian Army fighting the president Assad.

Killing more innocents while the ISIS hide underground isn’t the answer. More innocent killed= more ISIS recruits angry at the West. The Government are not acting for the benefit of the people of the UK since it seems an overwhelming majority in most constituents are anti this new bombing campaign.I think MP’s should now be made to find out what their constituents have to say and should vote accordingly and not follow a party line.
Probably a very naive view, but I’m sick of the constant killing as we move from one war to the next as the Prime Minister of the day seeks to gain some of the glory days of M Thatcher and the Argie bargie.
