When I read this, I had coincidentally been thinking of one of the few good things about the Internet. That I have people all around the world of different nationalities, skin colour, and beliefs who I can call friends. In many cases I don’t know some of those details, because, they don’t matter. In some cases I may guess about our differences and I may be right and I may be wrong. But it’s nice to relate to people at face value. Inappropriate term there, but I’m sure you get my drift.

I do. Like you I have friends around the world. The only way I know of any differences between us are because of an unusual name, that English may not be their first language is sometimes obvious and /or they put a photograph of themselves up.
The only thing that ever bothered me is when someone wrote to me in Turkish, I translated it as much as possible on google and wrote back saying sorry, I only speak English yet they wrote again in Turkish. An attempt to speak to me in English would have been appreciated, but I don’t like ignorance in any language not just from Turks.
