Today’s Quote

A simple truth we probably don’t recognise until it’s pointed out. Violence just begets violence and a breakdown of the humanity they say separates us from the animal kingdom. How many animals have you seen go to war? For Humanity to mean something, we need to rise above violence and promote a peace that secures the world for our descendants. Wouldn’t you like to live in the time pointed at in the future as the time things changed for the better by the generations who put the future first?

Soul Gatherings

Returning violence for violence multiplies violence,
adding deeper darkness to a night
already devoid of stars.

  1. Beautiful choice for a quote, David.
As the old adage goes, “What you resist persists…” And as a people we are always fighting — whether it be one another or *something* or declaring a war on something. I think we also need to lose the perception of ourselves (as a people) of making war on everything and everyone… But that’s just my humble opinion. 😀 Mega-hugs.

Your opinion is as important as anyone’s Teagan. It seems we can have wars but break into a cease fire for Christmas or some other occasion. We must be able to break into a ceasefire just for the love of not fighting and let all our Service men and women come home. I don’t care if we all keep an army for defence as long as we never have to use them again.Just think of all the money can be spent on education and creating jobs again.
