Women for Peace.

I’ve often thought that there would be less wars with women in charge. How many women would be prepared to send their sons off to slaughter with words of ‘Duty’ ringing in their ears.                                                                                                                                             Here in this piece it shows that women can create a massive effect towards peace when they rise up. Women had a huge effect on the peace process in Ireland and showed the two sides could work together. Here we see it again.

l doubt that Maggie Thatcher would hesitate to send off the troops. Likewise, in America, there are a number of women with like minds. Peace will only come when hearts and minds are open and we care as much for our neighbors as ourselves. Remember The Brotherhood of Man song? United we Stand… we all know the second line.

I think we’ve all too often seen the Divided we fall option. You’re right, hearts and minds need to be open, need to be opened, so we can achieve peace.Maggie reacted to an existing situation and didn’t provoke it so it’s possible she’s have thought twice about sending troop[s off to start a fight unlike Tony Blur who did so without any proof in Iraq.Sometimes we may have to fight for others to achieve their rights but there’s no reason we couldn’t get world peace if we put our minds to it. We are, after all, all kith and kin
